Music & Arts Learning for the Climate Curious
The Art of Inquiry for the Climate Curious.
Terra Inspira is an arts education hub designed for the climate-curious educator. Recognize and nurture your students’ natural and intentional curiosity about climate change through Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL), self-directed projects, and hands-on art activities.
The climate-curious educator scaffolds safe learning environments focused on biodiversity loss, shoreline erosion, major weather events, and other facets of climate change. The climate-curious learner explores their relationship with planetary well-being and is uniquely positioned to act and inspire.
Terra Inspira includes six cross-curricular and culturally responsive Learning Adventures (“Fieldnotes”) and a variety of resources that connect climate-curious learners with their natural surroundings. This project was created with support from National Geographic’s COVID-19 Remote Learning Emergency Fund.
What does it mean to be “climate curious?”
The climate curious uncover new and innovative ways to sustain Planet Earth and its diverse inhabitants. They grow, shape, and refine their knowledge of climate change and perspectives on the environment through engaged self-directed inquiry.
